[Crusader Guide] Str Vs Int, Which Stats To Pick?


This guide is based on my personal experience on playing Crusader. Let's start with the PRO and CONS of both stats crusader.

DA- Divine Avatar
JP- Judge's Power
DPS- Damage Per Second
Mdef- Magic Defense
Matk- Magic Attack


Stats Overview

STR
STR stats in armor/weapon/accessories/heraldry/potential is always higher than INT. For example potential STR 4.5% while INT 3.5% with 11 slots. High amount of STR allow crusader to gain more Matk through Judge's Power.
1 STR = 0.5 Patk,
with all 11slots 4.5% STR + Bear Heraldry 10% STR = 59.5%
1 STR = 1 x 159.5% x 430% (DA) x 44% (JP) = 3.02 Matk
But this is only effective for 48s (DA+JP) and DA 125s cd > 48/125 40%
So 1STR = 40% x 3.02 = 1.208 Matk



INT
INT stats increase base Matk and give high Matk when DA.
1 INT = 0.5 Matk
with all 11slots 3.5% INT + INT Heraldry 7.9%
1 INT = 0.5 x 146.4% =0.732 Matk
When DA, 1INT = 3.14 Matk
But only effective for 24s (DA) > 24/125 20% and 80% of the time is 0.732 Matk.
So 1INT = 20% x 3.14 + 80% x 0.732 = 1.32 Matk


STR vs INT
Lv 50 STR heraldry  = 136 STR x 159.5% (10% STR + 11 x STR pot) = 217 STR
INT heraldry = 122 INT x 146.4% = 178 INT

So from here STR to INT ratio is 1.22:1.

To conclude and simplify all the armor/weapon/acc stats,
STR : INT = 1.25 : 1

125 STR can exchange for 100 INT. So STR having 25% of advantage.


Unbuff with 32% Light attack
STR Benefit = 1.208 x 125% x 132% = 1.9932 (4% Higher)
INT     = 1.32 x 132% x 110%= 1.9166

DA+JP with 32% Light attack
STR Benefit = 3.02 x 125% x 132% = 4.983 (17% Higher)
INT    = 3.14 x 132% x 110% = 4.5593

So STR is stronger than INT when with 32% Light attack


Now let's look at 5.75% x 4 = 23% Matk
Unbuff with 23% Matk

STR Benefit = 1.208 x 125% = 1.510
INT    = 1.32 x 133%  = 1.756 (16% Higher)

DA+JP with 23% Matk
STR Benefit = 3.02 x 125% = 3.775
INT    = 3.14 x 133% = 4.176 (10% Higher)

INT have greater benefit when with 23% of Matk Potential.


Next, Buffed with striking 21% attack with 32% of Light attack
STR Benefit = 1.208 x 121% x 125% x 132% = 2.412 (5% Higher)
INT    = 1.32 x 131% x 132% = 2.283

DA+JP with striking 21% attack with 32% of Light attack
STR Benefit = 3.02 x 121% x 125% x 132% = 6.029 (11% Higher)
INT    = 3.14 x 131% x 132% = 5.429

STR is a lot stronger than INT when party with priest.

The burst DPS duration of STR crusader is 48s while INT is 24s.


AGI (Critical)
Crusaders are born with low AGI and suffer from critical problem.
1AGI = 3Crit, with Wind plate 10% AGI, Fatal Plate 20% Crit > 1AGI = 3 x 110% x 120% = 3.96 Crit
To increase 1% of critical need around 360 crit which means 100AGI increase only 1% crit. Sacrifice 100 AGI for 100 or more STR/INT is not worthly to get only 1% crit. 100 STR/INT can get 300 Matk.

How to max critical cap?
18000+ critical with weapons, ring stats is very good already. Archer and Merc have buff to get you close to the critical cap. 24000 critical is around 69%, +archer buff 20% is already 89%.

Never use wind or agi to pump yourself to critical cap.

Final Damage (1850 - 100%)
Crusader near to impossible to get Full FD with critical cap in SEA. You can still try to get FD when you got no critical problem. 1000 FD is only 25% if you get it through set bonus and ultimate plate.

Light attack
Light attack is cheaper than FD and can easily get over 100% through weapon/acc pots. title and buffs.


Equipment Guide

Armor
Can use both Honoured Tribe or Dangerous Desire but I suggest Honoured Tribe. 5set provide extra 300 damage, FD and 1000+ critical.

Weapon
Crusader is a class with very low AGI stats and all are having problems to hit the Critical cap.
So crusader player must pick flail instead of mace. Flail give more critical and its not worth to use mace for increase in few hundred of attack.

STR crusader must try hard to get Lv50 Legendary flail and shield because it add a lot of STR when upon high lvl of enchantment.

As for INT crusader can stay using Honoured Tribe weapons or change to use Ladder weapons in the near future. Legendary weapons is not a good choice because you will lose a great amount of INT upon release of suffix 2 and Lv60 unique weapon although it give high Matk.

I still suggest INT crusader to use Legendary weapons but you have to change when Lv60 unique weapons are released and your solo DPS will get destroyed (w/o 2 INT weapons debuff).

Accessories
Necklace
STR crusader must use Judge Power +1 with high STR stats.
INT crusader can use Smite +1 or Legendary necklace to add more critical.

Earring
For earring, both crusader can use Heal +1. Holy relic +1 DPS increment wont affect a lot. Or you can use any 2 stats bear or intellect earring

Ring
Ring is the slot where crusader use to enchant critical. So better get Conviction Aura +1 with critical stats. Due to high price of recent released rings and you have serious critical problem, you can choose fatal ring first. Matk ring wont give u as much benefit as Fatal ring.

Suffix
For STR crusader, all armor and weapon part should be in BEAR except glove in WILL to add more STR.

Why not pick INT weapon for STR crusader? As I mentioned earlier, STR crusader must have good party composition. You can easily get 1 party member with 2 INT weapons (Priest/FU/El).


For INT crusader, all armor part should be in INTELLECT except glove in WILL to add more INT.

Potential
To get maximum effect of STR/INT stats.
For STR crusader, make sure all your armor/weapon/accessories potentials have STR 4.5%.

For INT crusader, make sure all your armor/weapon/accessories potentials have INT 3.5%.

Weapon potential is quite complicated if I explain it in detail. So I will just simplify it..
Crusader main DPS skills are:

1. Holy Relic (Light)
2. Charged Bolt (Light)
3. Smite (Light)
4. Judgement Hammer (Light)
5. Zap (Light)
6. Armor Break

So Light attack 4 x 8% is better than Phy/Matk 4 x 5.75%.


Stats Heraldry
Intellect- Must equip, no explanation needed.
Bear- Must equip, no explanation needed.
Fatal- Must equip, no explanation needed.
Magician- Must equip, no explanation needed.
Destruction- Must equip, no explanation needed.
Wind- Better equip it although it add very little critical but it still help.
Tent- All the bosses killing blow are Magical damage. So, no further explanation needed.
IronWall- For crusader, we dont need Ironwall, all the physical damage can dodge/iframe easily.
Life Vit/Health- Can ignore if you have high amount of HP.
Ultimate- add 3% of FD. Better than Wind. Equip it if you have free slot and you are rich enough.
Energy- STR crusader may consider using this heraldry due to low mana pool and regen.

If you are rich enough, get some 3rd stats critical heraldry to increase your critical.

Skill Heraldry
STR Crusader:
1. Judge's Power +Buff Duration (Total 48s with Judge Power +1 acc)
2. Smite +Damage
3. Holy Relic +Damage
4. Charged Bolt +Damage

DA Plate wont have so much impact on STR crusader because of low INT. DA is just a pre-JP buff, its duration is not very important.

INT Crusader:
1. Divine Avatar +Buff Duration
2. Smite +Damage
3. Holy Relic +Damage
4. Charged Bolt +Damage

Why there is no provoke plate??
Basically, when you smite with DA+JP buff, no people can steal your aggro already. If you want more secure, replace provoke with any +Damage skill heraldry.

Title
Overcoming Limits or Gigantomakia. Why? +Matk, INT, Critical, Light attack


Skill build
This is my personal skill build, i build it based on my own personal experience and I feel more comfortable with it. I believe there are better skill build than mine. The skill build below is just for reference purpose.

You can add whatever you like with the remaining 7SP.

Conclusion
STR crusader is a lot stronger than INT crusader while in a good party. When STR crusader is equipped with Legendary weapons for at least +10 or above, the STR to INT ratio can be increased from 125 STR to 100 INT to 150 STR to 100 INT or more! However, STR crusader's equipment is not as flexible as INT crusader. STR crusader must use all BEAR suffix and Judge's Power +1 necklace and heraldry to benefit from its STR stats causing STR crusader Mdef become very low.

STR Crusader
PRO:
1. Burst DPS is higher and have longer duration than INT crusader.
2. Judge's Power buff affected by striking.

CONS:
1. Low Mdef, mana pool and regen.
2. Must have a good party composition.
3. DPS is lower than INT crusader when solo.
4. Equipment build is not as flexible as INT crusader.
5. STR crusader only get benefit from light attack.

INT Crusader
PRO:
1. High Mdef, mana pool and regen.
2. Higher Matk than STR crusader when not buffed.

CONS:
1. Only 24 second of burst DPS
2. Judge's Power effect is very low due to low STR.

There may have more PRO and CONS but i will just stop here.
